This is the first plant-based protein powder that doesn't taste like a plant-based powder! I've tried so many different plant-based powders over the year that always ended in me throwing the product away, (I still cringe at the money I tossed away, but couldn't bring myself to swallow the nasty options or give them to friends or family). The Orgain Creamy Choc. Fudge Protein Powder so perfectly chocolatey, I have to stop myself from making more than one glass at a time! It's easy to swallow, unlike the uncountable other plant-based products I've tried. No gross after-taste, either. I usually mix it with just unsweetened almond milk, but occasionally, I'll blend it with ice and powdered peanut butter for a yummy Peanut Butter Cup Smoothie/Milkshake. Any smoothie you add chocolate to, you can substitute Orgain with great results. This product is very close in taste and texture to whey products, that I have stopped looking at any other brands, (I have only tried the chocolate Orgain so far). Is it identical to whey? Of course not, but it's so close, your taste buds won't know the difference, but your overall gut health will. There's also no heavy after-taste associated with stevia, which is a bonus. In addition to the great flavor, I love that it's organic and vegan. The only non-organic ingredient is Xanthan Gum, which is the last ingredient on the list.Overall, what is my impression?1) Great chocolatey taste2) Non-gritty texture3) No nasty after-taste4) Great meal substitute or on-the-go meal5) Healthy choice being vegan and organicNow you can stop looking for an adequate chocolatey plant-based protein mix. Orgain is more than adequate, it's exceptional. It will not only please your taste buds, but your body, too!
First time buying this product. I’m pregnant and have been craving jamba juices chocolate peanut butter protein shake, but I can’t get one due to this Covid19 pandemic/quarantine. I did some research and decided to try this protein powder (full disclosure, I’ve never tried protein powder before, other than in Jamba Juice drinks). This chocolate protein powder is amazing. I’ve had one drink every morning for the last 3 days. My favorite recipe has been the one on the side of the bottle (12 oz almond milk, 2 scoops of this chocolate protein powder, a table spoon of peanut butter, and one frozen banana. Blend) Its sooo good, definitely satisfies my craving, and my husband loves it, too! And it’s healthy?! Win win!!(Ps- this was an honest review. I was not asked to write a review and will not be compensated in any way for this review. I always read reviews from other customers before making a purchase on , and I just like this protein powder enough to share :) I hope someone finds this review helpful. Have a nice day!
By far my favorite protein powder! I've tried this and the Garden of Life RAW Protein, and this one tastes and mixes considerably better, isn't chalky, and doesn't get watery (unlike the GoL protein). I blend it with almond milk, frozen strawberries, a banana, and some ground flaxseed, and it keeps me full and energized. Reading some of the reviews, it looks like people have experienced digestive problems with this powder, but I haven't had any issues. As a college student, I really appreciate the reasonable price and high quality. If you're looking for a quality plant-based protein but don't have $50 to spend, Orgain is a fantastic deal!
I’ve purchased this twice now. Once here and once at Costco as they had the larger size. The taste is not horrible at all and doesn’t have that chalky after taste. I’ve mixed it with water, blended with ice, mixed with coconut milk and with a coconut/almond milk blend so far the last is my favorite combo as it gives it a smoother texture and great flavor. I purchased a set of blenderbottles and they’ve mixed the powder perfectly. I will update this in another month to share if there has been any weight loss success.I absolutely love that all of the ingredients are organic and that the amounts in the nutrition facts fit into my low carb meal plan for managing PCOS. I have been drinking this for a week now and love how simple it makes my breakfast on the go when I’m headed to work. I sip it for an hour or so and stay full until lunch. Even better is that I don’t get that drop feeling like I have when trying other shakes. Usually within an hour I’m starving and feel like my blood sugar has dropped considerably. Five stars for that alone. Looking forward to trying the vanilla when it’s back on here again. My container arrived sealed and in tact. The powder had settled to about two thirds full as usual, so no complaints there. I just know that’s what these companies do and expect it to not be full to the brim. If you want one to be stuffed, maybe buy two and pour one into the other? Lol
I started with almond milk (lactose issues), then went to a 50/50 almond milk and water. I found it broke down quicker with the 50/50 blend. The flavor is great. I've tried a number of powders over the years and this one is the best. I've changed my diet, so ingredients are key. There are no artificial any things in this one. They use Stevia, which is a natural sweetener that is better for your body than anything else (other than Xylitol). If you are not used to Stevia, it may take a little to "come to the dark side", but your body will appreciate it!
