I like it. I think it tastes good, though I only use water (not any milk variety) and I put in fruit (banana and peaches) and a lot of ice. Keeps me filled until lunch. Cheaper than the Shakeology product (1/4 the cost per serving) and very similar health benefits but less sugar. Probably will order more, though may try other brands as we're new to the whole shake experience.
use: When I get nervous now and then, I have trouble eating. I'm glad they're coming out with these vegan powders now, so I can avoid Ensure and those things. Orgain totally does the trick as long as I have at least 1 real meal a day.I started with PlantFusion (also good), then they got popular and expensive. Then to Garden of Life. All of these taste good and have all the nutrition I need, but Orgain is the only one that's still reasonably priced (as of September 2020 anyway).
This stuff is amazing. I've tried a fair share of meal replacements and protein shakes as well. This doesn't have any of the nasty texture or sour tastes as the others have. Sure, it's a little bland, but I'd trade that any day over the fake sweetener taste (and protein powder, yuck). I can throw this in a shaker cup with almond milk and have my perfectly non-gritty breakfast. It keeps me full just as long, and possible longer, as a meal the same amount of calories would. It's a huge bonus that it's USDA organic and plant based. Now I'm not a vegetarian, but I am aware of the benefits of a plant based diet and I can feel good knowing there's quality ingredients in this shake. The price seems to vary a lot (I paid $40 and it's currently at $30) but totally worth it for me.
We are big fans of this product. It tastes better than many protein powders and is more satiating than many as well. We use one scoop of the chocolate and one scoop of vanilla with almond milk - and it is a surprisingly delicious combination! Since using this product, we lost 20 pounds in about 2.5 months - granted, sensible diet and exercise were also factored. We love this protein powder and are quite loyal to the brand. In addition, we had to contact their customer support once and the service they provided was top-notch! Five stars!
So, I drink this shake every morning for breakfast and have been for the last year and half. It tastes way better than most breakfast shakes I've had before and it's vegan, organic, gluten free, and has only 1 gram of sugar per serving. Those were my top priorities. The World Health Organization recommends 25 grams of sugar per day and this was the best replacement I could find for other shakes or morning cereal.Further, it's always smooth and mixes easily with water. I drink it down in like 30 seconds. You could definitely spruce it up with bananas and almond milk but ain't nobody got time for that.As for the differences between batches: Yes, there seem to be subtle differences in color and taste. Some probably taste better than others. The truth is, I don't care. They all taste better than Vega and the other alternatives. That's my opinion. Others have strong opinions the other way.tldr: If you want a good tasting vegan, organic, gluten free, low sugar shake and don't mind minor changes in the color and taste, this is the perfect shake for you.
