I like it, I use it. Read the label if you like it buy it for yourself
I don't know what people are talking about with the negative reviews because I could find nothing bad to say about the taste or consistency of this product. It sounds like there was an older product that had a recipe everyone liked, then the manufacturer changed it. Maybe I am lucky I never had the old product . . . With that said, here's what I like - when mixed up, it is silky smooth, actually much better than most of the protein shakes I've had before. I put mine in almond milk and used a hand shaker. I don't think it would work as well with just water. I really liked the taste of the chocolate. I couldn't taste an overwhelming cherry flavor, but then again, I am a big fan of cherries, so that would've been fine. 30 grams of protein in a one scoop serving is simply awesome. Plus, you get probiotics, turmeric, glutamine and branched chain amino acids. I love the fact that it is non-GMO, but would like to see a USDA Organic label on it as well. That's the only thing that stopped me from buying this product before. One other thing - a lot of vegan protein products rely on rice flour to boost the protein. I cannot eat rice flour without feeling like I've consumed a pile of gravel. This product was infinitely more digestible for me than other products I've tried. I'm a huge fan now. Please make it organic!
This is hands down the best vegan protein powder I have ever used. It mixes so easily, the taste is great (for a protein powder that is ), there's almost a month worth of servings in one container, and there are no ingredients that I'm uncomfortable putting in my body.I use this as my post workout shake, just mixing with water in my Blender Bottle. My daughter likes to have hers with some almond milk. I also use a half scoop in my daily morning smoothie, and include two scoops in my homemade protein brownies. The powder doesn't have that artificial aftertaste that a lot of protein powders have. This tastes better than the Garden of Life chocolate protein powder in my opinion.I also like that this powder is free of soy and sucralose, two ingredients that many vegan protein powders use to add extra protein and sweetness. I can't use whey protein due to lactose intolerance, so this one pretty much is my go-to supplement. I'm willing to pay a bit more to make sure I'm not ingesting questionable ingredients, and this is the best protein powder I have found so far. I also like their vanilla flavor. Not to be nit picky, but the seal that they have to protect the powder when you first open it is reminiscent of scratchy cardboard, and it gives me the feeling of nails on a chalkboard when I open the container for the first time. I'm shuddering just thinking about it. I would also recommend that they add a half mark to the included scoop and make the handle a little larger/longer, as I often get powder on my fingers when getting out the product.I have this product on monthly subscribe and save, which makes things so much easier. I really don't even have to think about replenishing my stock. Once I notice that my powder is almost gone, another almost magically appears in the mail the next day.
-Plant based-Dairy free-Sugar free-Complete protein-Awesome macros- 4g of carbs, 30g of protein for 160 calories a serving-ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS-BCAAs-ProbioticsTHIS IS IT. THEEEE BEST PLANT BASED PROTEIN THERE IS. I literally feel stronger everyday adding just one scoop a day to my diet (I also consume animal protein and workout with weights and run- but this stuff has no doubt been a very key factor in my gains.) Taking this stuff allows me to work hard everyday and see results; I look trimmer and more muscular at the same time, and I'm also losing weight at the same time. The powder with just ice and water in a blender bottle is perfectly delicious, but I love adding my tumeric powder blend (I have the brand Turlattè) along with a few shakes of flavorgod cinnamon roll seasoning and organic Ceylon cinnamon- AND IT IS HEAVENLY. (it might just be that mix of seasonings, but the vanilla protein powder makes a beautiful base none the less.)It's so much cheaper getting it from vs going to Target to get, but I will ALWAYS come back to this brand! Absolutely LOVE this stuff!!Ps. I'm not disturbed by the levels of arsenic/heavy metals found- true or not true, arsenic is an organic compound naturally found in plant based food. I know for SURE I am healthier now having added this product to my lifestyle compared to before when I had a sedentary lifestyle. Pick your poison I say (literally lol).
I hardly write reviews, but when i saw all the complaints about the metals I just have to say.,,, Stop it people!! For all of those on a plant based diet you should know that one of the first things you have to realize is that heavy metals are naturally present in soil and water which logically means there are going to be certain amounts of it in most fruits, vegetables and tap water . So let me say this, METALS ARE NOT ADDED TO PROTEIN POWDERS but they are absorbed from the soil by whatever plant source is being utilized to create the product,. Start doing your own research and you will discover what organization started this entire fear mongering about metals in plant based supplements and why they did so and if you want to continue to complain, then you might as well continue and stop eating, vegetables and fruit and a whole list of other foods that will take up to much space in this review . In closing, I experiment with different plant based brand protein powder supplements and this Vega is fantastic. Grainy or not grainy just depends on how you make it. Sweet or not sweet once again depends on how you mix it i.e with water or milk or fruit etc. I keep mine simple, about 85% water with a top off of Flaxseed milk. Absolutely delicious!!!!
