I have ordered this several times. I love the ingredients, the taste, and the lack of fake fillers. It isn't as "creamy" like a whey or casein protein, so I just add a banana or a dab of Greek Yogurt to get the texture I typically prefer. I do mix it in my Ninja with a little ice and almond milk (and banana or Greek yogurt). On the go, in a shaker with just water...it isn't my favorite. Just putting it out there in case that may be what someone is looking for.
I really love this product, and I'm not kidding. My mom is elderly and lives with me, and I'm always looking for ways to help her stay healthy. She refuses to eat most fruits or vegetables, but loves pancakes made with this protein powder added (I just use my regular recipe and add a scoop of this and an extra 1/2 cup of liquid). The coconut almond flavor is wonderful.
I've tried a bunch of these, and this is my favorite. I just couldn't justify the cost of Shakeology anymore, and this is definitely the closest in flavor and make-up. The chocolate is the only flavor I have tried - I mix 1 scoop with a banana, a splash of water, 4 ice cubes and a scoop of peanut butter. It's my bfast every day and I absolutely believe it is 1) helping me keep weight off, 2) curbing a TON of sugar cravings, and 3) giving me some pretty good nutrition on those days that for some reason I just don't eat great. 4 stars for sure, definitely recommend if you are on the fence!
I've tried several brands of whey and vegan protein powders and this is my favorite by far. It's definitely a little heavy on the stevia, but I've been adding some instant coffee or half a banana and it really cuts down on that funky after taste. I recommend using a blender and unsweetened coconut beverage. Even my picky four-year-old twins love it.It keeps me full, so I usually will drink a shake for breakfast and be fine until lunch. If you're expecting something that tastes like an actual ice cream milkshake, this isn't it. For that, Vega's protein smoothie is a good choice, but then you'll miss out on the probiotics, greens and omega-3s. If you're still unsure, you can head to Vega's website to order samples of any of their flavors (vanilla is good, too) and then order the tubs through since it's a little cheaper.
I have been using Vega One All-In-One for years now. I was drinking Carnation Instant Breakfast but one day realized how much sugar I was putting into my body. A trusted health food store employee suggested this as a alternative. It was a bit of a challenge at first, going from something with so much sugar to this, but now it tastes good and keeps me full for a while.SIDE NOTE: I received a jug of this with 5 holes punched into the top of the seal and it completely freaked me out. I had send a replacement and it too had the holes. I reached out to Vega One and this was their response: "Thanks for reaching out! Yes, I can definitely see how the ventilation holes could be alarming as they slightly larger and more noticeable than before. We’ve always had ventilation holes in our seal, though it seems our manufacturer is likely using a new machine so they are in a more noticeable position and are slightly larger as I mentioned. The pin sized holes are completely characteristic of the vented liner on our tub and are meant for circulation."
